2nd Trip to Japan

I went to Japan for Holiday christmas 2010 until newyear 2011, and these are some pictures that i took, so you can see the real Japan trough my short journey.

Fish Market at Shimonoseki also a sushi market, you can pick your own taste, all fresh from the sea. Lovely!! and its cheap! there're many variety of sushi and sashimi, i spotted a kujira karage / deep fried whale meat.

which one do you like?
Its winter in japan, so the wind are strong, and the temperature are quite cold, every home got a portable heater. its called danbo / heater.

Time for lunch, homemade sukiyaki at home, i just knew that its so easy to make the soup, only need shoyu, salt, sugar, mirin and sake, dats it. i'll try it sumday for sure.

Dinner, we ordered a sushi and sashimi set from the restaurant, and its so lavish i think. I've never seen japanese food that much for dinner of 6 people. Love the colours!!
and i've tried all of that yummy food. Bloathed but happy.

Its chrismast day! celebrating chistmas with strawberry and cream cakes, taste? marvelous! not too sweet, not too creamy, just perfect. Merry Chrismast everyone!

Time for traveling a bit, its Kokura Station in Kyushu Island.

They got this brigde of light infront of Kokura Castle, as a christmas decoration, it looks stunning at night! Romantic indeed.

Hidamari / sunflower shop,
i found a small handmade stuff shop at Kokura, and the owner take me to her home as well as her showroom too, and this shop are so adorable, many cute stuff are being displayed. I just cant help myself. And the owner are so nice to me, i got 30years old kimono from her along with the obi. Arigatou!

Heading to Kurokawa, this place are famous for its traditional architecture and also traditional hot spring water, must try in Japan especially on winter time.

In Japan, people oftenly go to onsen / hot spring water at ryokan, especially at winter. Eventhou its snowing outside, as long as you stay in the hot water, you will feel warm and relax. It's kinda addictive. (^^)

Time for the real dinner at ryokan/ japanese traditional hotel.

This is basashi / horse sashimi, its raw meat and fresh. I eat it finally. As long as there's shoyu with me, i think i can eat any kind of raw meat in japan.

its time to go back to Shimonoseki, had a lot of fun at Kurokawa, i'll go back to that great place again someday.
